On Tuesday, the 5th of December we held our annual consultation at the Longsight Library. The event was chaired by George Devlin, LMCP Chair, and facilitated by our staff and social work students. 34 South Asian carers and cared-for participated.

As part of the Manchester CCG funded programmes to Improve Access to psychological Therapies (IAPT), we are delivering a range of workshops for professionals to deal with barriers to IAPT uptake.

LMCP hosted a successful event to mark Carers Week 2017.
Three carers spoke about their experiences of caring, the support they receive and how important it is to build carer friendly communities.
The event was well attended, with carers and members of many of our local communities there to hear the talks.
Colleagues from buzz (Manchester Health and Wellbeing Service), Manchester Adult Education Service and United Utilities provided information on their services.
We are hosting an information event on Tuesday 6th June 10.00am to 12.30pm for Carers Week 2017.
